DRI Detects Customs Duty Evasion Of Rs 4,389 Cr By Chinese Firm Oppo In India
Finance Ministry reported on July 13 that Directorate of Revenue intelligence personnel had discovered Rs 4,389 crore in duty fraud by Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo through incorrect import declarations. ₹1 Crore Worth iPhones Seized At Delhi Airport
Customs officers confiscated up to 90 iPhones with an estimated worth of Rs. 1 crore from Delhi airport's new courier terminal. The phones were mislabeled as clothes when they landed in three consignments from Dubai, according to the Air Cargo Customs (ACC) Export Commissionerate, Delhi Customs. The consignment was discovered by the officer stationed at the X-Ray scanning station. The shipment included iPhones with 12 Pro models.
