Indian Shuttler PV Sindhu Ruled Out From BWF World Championship Amid Injury
Indian shuttler PV Sindhu ruled out from World Championship amid stress fracture. After performing in the Commonwealth Games 2022, and bagging Gold Medal for India, Sindhu gave an update regarding the injury in her foot and confirmed her non-participation in the World Championship. "The pain was unbearable during and post the finals," said PV Sindhu in an Instagram post. Furthermore, the championship is to begin August 21 to August 28.

On August 3, Singh secured a third position in the men's 109 plus kg weightlifting competition. Feeling pride, on August 4, PM Narendra Modi congratulated Singh and tweeted, "Hardwork and dedication lead to outstanding outcomes..this is what Gurdeep Singh has shown by winning the bronze medal in weightlifting at the CWG."
