Helpline To Report Cyber Fraud Cases In India Launched
The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has launched a national helpline number, 155260, to report cyber fraud cases. Reportedly, a banner link has also been added on National Consumer Helpline (NCH) portal which helps to directly lodge any complaint on Cyber Crime Portal. Bangalore Police Introduces Instant Helpline To Address Online Frauds
In order to curb online frauds, Bangalore police have initiated an instant addressal helpline 'Cybercrime Incident Report system'. Under this initiative, victims of an online fraud can lodge complaints over a phone call. Delhi Sees 190% Rise In Cyber Frauds During Lockdown; 62% Financial Frauds
The Delhi Police has disclosed that during COVID-induced lockdown, cases of cyber frauds rose by 190% in the national capital.
