IIT Student Who Committed Suicide Was Discriminated Over Caste, Says Family
An 18-year-old Dalit student at IIT Bombay, who died allegedly by suicide, was insulted on campus. Recently sources revealed that IIT student Darshan Solanki spoke to his sister and aunt about being ostracised by his friends because of his caste. However, IIT Bombay administration denied any discrimination on the campus. Notably, Darshan committed suicide after being harassed and discriminated by students at the IIT Bombay Campus.

Conflict Rises Between Pilot & Gehlot Over Death Of Dalit Student
The recent death of a Dalit student (9) after being beaten by a school teacher in Jalore, Rajasthan, once again sparked turmoil between state CM Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot and other leaders. Amid the situation, 12 legislators and MLA resigned from the post, claiming disappointment over the rising number of crimes against Dalit students. Owing to the injustice to the Dalit student, Pilot and MLAs demanded justice.
