Dalit Boy Thrashed By Govt School Teacher In Rajasthan’s Barmer

In Rajasthan’s Barmer, a class seven student was allegedly thrashed by a government school teacher, informed officials on August 25. Reportedly, the teacher thrashed the boy for not completing a test on time. Following the incident, the boy was shifted to a hospital, as his deteriorated. In a similar incident, a nine-year-old boy was beaten to death by a teacher in Rajasthan’s Surana village.

BJP Seeks Action Against Teacher Accused Of Killing Dalit, Writes To SC Commission

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has wrote to Supreme Court commission, seeking to take action against a teacher in Rajasthan who is accused of murdering a dalit student. BJP's National General Secretary Tarun Chugh in his letter, stated that the student was beaten to death for drinking water from the teacher's pot. The incident took place at a private school in Rajasthan's Surana village on July 20.

7 Held For Forcing Dalit Teen To Not Attend School: Madhya Pradesh

The police in Madhya Pradesh have arrested seven persons for preventing a 16-year-old Dalit girl from attending school. Reportedly, a clash broke out between the family of the girl and the locals involved. The locals allegedly forced the girl to not attend school on the ground that girls in their village do not attend schools. The accused reportedly beat up the girl's brother and other family members.

Dangi Community People Arrested For Throwing Stones At Dalit Man's Wedding

In Madhya Pradesh's Rajgarh region, a group of people from Dangi community allegedly threw stones at the wedding venue of a Dalit man. The accused were against the Dalit groom entering their village and to stop that, they threw stones. After the police were informed, the marriage procession was carried out under police security. Furthermore, five people were arrested in connection with the incident and investigation is launched.

Dalit Man Assaulted, Forced To Lick Feet In Uttar Pradesh; Video Goes Viral

In Uttar Pradesh's Rae Bareli, another incident of caste-based violence went viral on social media platforms. In the video, a minor Dalit boy was being assaulted and forced to lick the feet of the accused. In the two-minute-thirty-second video, the accused on a motorbike was asking the victim to say "Thakur" and said, "Will you make such a mistake again?" The police registered a case and booked the accused.

Life Imprisonment Awarded To Accused In Dalit Factory Worker Murder Case: UP

A special court in Muzaffarnagar trying the murder case of a Dalit worker, sentenced the accused to a lifetime of imprisonment, on April 15. The accused Popin Kumar, allegedly murdered his factory worker Sonu, for allegedly having an affair with his sister. Reportedly, Sonu's body was found in Ghasipura village. Furthermore, a fine of Rs 20,000 was also imposed on Kumar by Special Judge Jamshed Ali.

Dalits Boycotted In Latur Over Temple Entry Dispute:Maharashtra

In Maharashtra's Latur, villagers allegedly boycotted the local Dalit community over a dispute temple entry dispute. As per reports, two Dalit youngsters entered a Hanuman temple and broke a coconut, which became a huge issue, resulting "Dalit boycott". A video of a flour mill owner refusing to grind Dalit's grain also went viral. However, the police confirmed that the dispute has been resolved following a peace committee meeting.
