EU Delegation To Take J&K Tour To Assess Ground-level Situation
The Centre is preparing to take a 20-member European Union delegation in Jammu and Kashmir during February 17-18. Reportedly, the envoys will assess the condition of the valley post Article 370 revocation and recently concluded first District Development Council elections. J&K DDC Poll: BJP Wins 75; Gupkar Declaration Settles With 110 Seats
The Jammu and Kashmir State Election Commission has announced results for 278 out of 280 constituencies in District Development Council elections. In the first elections after the abrogation of Article 370, the BJP has emerged as the single largest party with 75 seats. Besides, the Gupkar Declaration has won 110 seats. While the independent candidates won 50 seats, the Indian National Congress has settled with 26 seats.

Militants Attack in J&K's Anantnag District; Injured DDC Candidate
Militants in Jammu & Kashmir's Anantnag district opened fire which injured a leader contesting in the ongoing District Development Council (DDC) elections. The candidate, identified as Anees-ul-Islam of J&K's Apni Party was electing from the Sagam area of Kokernag region. J&K DDC Elections: About 52% Voter Turnout Recorded In 1st Phase
The first phase of the District Development Council election held in Jammu and Kashmir on November 28 witnessed 51.76% voter turnout.
