In a shocking incident, a massive fire broke out in a tourist train that was parked at the station in Madurai on August 26. As per reports, around eight people have lost their lives and around 20 people are reported injured in the incident. The injured have been taken to Government Rajaji Hospital in Madurai. Three Army soldiers were killed in an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district on Friday, officials said. Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the higher reaches of the Halan forest area of Kulgam district in south Kashmir following inputs about the presence of terrorists in the Kulgam region. Noted Marathi actor and director Ravindra Mahajani was found dead at his rented apartment in Pune. His mortal remains were recovered from a flat in Pune's Talegaon Dabhade locality after neighbours complained of 'foul smell' emanating from the apartment, on July 14. According to cops, Mahajani, aged 74, had been staying alone in the Pune flat until his unfortunate demise. A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
