A 15-year-old boy died after he accidentally slipped and fell into an elevator shaft of an air cooler factory in Delhi's Bawana Industrial Area, confirmed police on February 13. The boy identified as Alok fell into the shaft accidentally and got crushed when the elevator came up from the ground floor, which led to his death. He sustained multiple injuries and then electrocuted because of wires, said police.

Gnanendra Prasad, BJP member, was discovered dead at his home. When police officers from Miyapur arrived, they saw Prasad hanging from a fan. "The reason for his suicide is not known yet, but he was staying in his penthouse for the past few days," police added. A post-mortem investigation was then performed on the deceased at a nearby government hospital. A case has been filed and additional investigations are ongoing. 

Three tribals identified as Rambharat Adivasi (28), Dilip Adivasi (27) and Mukesh Adivasi (20) were killed by lightning in a forest area of Sheopur district, Madhya Pradesh, confirmed police on July 7. Satendra Singh Tomar, the ASP said, the victims were on a picnic near the forest, when lightning stuck on them, resulting death, and burn injuries to three others, undergoing treatment. Furthermore, a case has been registered.

Pakistan's Karachi has officially ran out of burial spots, as people started paying exorbitant rates to put their loved ones to rest, reported ANI. The government prescribed amount is Rs 7,900. However, two persons reported paying Rs 55,000 and Rs 1,75,000 to give their loved ones a burial. Reportedly, old graves now have to be destroyed to make way for new burials, said digger Khalil Ahmed.

In Toronto, Canada, a 21-year-old student from Ghaziabad (UP), was shot dead at the Sherbourne subway on April 7. "The man had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries," said Canadian police. Notably, Kartik Vasudev was a first-semester Marketing Management student at Seneca College in Toronto and he was shot while he was on his way to the Mexican restaurant.
