Mohammed Siraj, Shami And Shardul Thakur Joins Indian Squad In Australia: ICC T20 World Cup

Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur is all set to fly to Australia and join the Indian squad for the ICC T20 World Cup, starting on October 16. Notably, Shardul Thakur, Shami and Siraj have been named after Jasprit Bumrah and Deepak Chahar were ruled out amid injuries. On October 12, the BCCI named Shardul Thakur to be part of the Rohit Sharma-led Indian Cricket Squad.

Deepak Chahar Suffers Ankle Injury, Likely To Rule Out From India-SA Series

Indian cricketer Deepak Chahar suffered an ankle twist injury, and is set to rule out of the Indian One Day International (ODI) against South Africa. On October 9, the sources said, due to injury Chahar is likely to miss the remaining two games. The source added, "So it will be team management's call if they would like to risk Deepak as he is in T20 World Cup stand-by list."

Deepak Chahar Tests COVID-19 Negative Twice, Rejoins CSK Squad

Chennai Super Kings pacer Deepak Chahar returned to the CSK hotel after testing negative twice for COVID-19. Chahar was one of the two CSK cricketers who tested positive for COVID-19 after reaching Dubai for the league. He completed his quarantine in a separate hotel. According to CSK CEO KS Viswanathan, Chahar has more tests scheduled, including a cardio test, as per BCCI's medical team's guidelines before he resumes training.
