As per sources, Lalit Modi's decision to sue Gandhi came after his recent tweet, which was said to be a derogatory remark against Modi. KTR Issues Legal Notice To Bandi Sanjay Kumar, A Revanth Reddy
KT Rama Rao, the working president of the BRS, issued a legal notice to Telangana BJP President Bandi Sanjay Kumar and Telangana Congress President Revanth Reddy. Rahul Gandhi Respond To 2 Year Conviction In Defamation Case
Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi reacted to the conviction in the 2019 Defamation Case. On March 23, Gandhi said, "My religion is based on truth and non-violence. Truth is my God, non-violence is the means to get it." The BJP MLA and former Gujarat minister Purnesh Modi filed a defamation case saying, "How come all thieves have the common surname, Modi?" In response to this, Gandhi was convicted for 2-years.
