Assam CM Himanta Sarma Appears Before Court In Criminal Defamation Suit Filed Against Sisodia
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma appeared before a court in Kamrup, to file his initial deposition in a defamation case filed against Delhi's deputy CM Manish Sisodia. The criminal defamation case was filed after Sisodia alleged that Assam government had given contracts to Sarma's wife's firm, to supply PPE kits above market rates. Earlier in June, Sarma's wife Riniki filed a Rs 100 crore civil defamation case on the same.

Will Review His Films Even If He Touches My Feet: KRK On Salman Khan
Fuelling his fued with bollywood superstar Salman Khan, actor-critic Kamaal Rashid Khan on May 27 tweeted that he will keep reviewing Salman's films/songs even if he touches his feet for otherwise. Earlier, KRK had promised the opposite after he was slapped with a defamation lawsuit by Salman for reviewing 'Radhe'. Besides, KRK cited Salman's father Salim Khan's statement wherein he had said Radhe was not a 'great film'.

Baba Ramdev Served Rs 1000-Cr Defamation Notice By IMA Uttarakhand
Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has been served with Rs 1000-crore defamation notice by Indian Medical Association (IMA)-Uttarakhand for his "stupid science" remark on allopathy. The notice warned that the amount would be extracted from him if he fails to release a video countering his previous statements along with a written apology within the next 15 days. Earlier, Ramdev had withdrawn his statements on May 24 after facing severe backlash.

Salman Khan Sues Actor-Critic KRK For Reviewing 'Radhe' Movie
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's legal team has sent a defamation notice to actor and film critic Kamaal R Khan (KRK), after the latter released a review on Salman's latest movie 'Radhe'. The revelation was made by KRK himself as he tweeted, "Salman Khan filed defamation case against me... he is getting too much affected by my review." Besides, he stated that he would no more review Salman's movies.

Andheri Court Gives Bail To Kangana In Javed Akhtar Defamation Case
In the defamation case filed by lyricist Javed Akhtar, Maharashtra's Andheri Court has granted bail to actress Kangana Ranaut. The court gave respite to Kangana upon submitting two sureties of Rs 15,000 and Rs 20,000 each against the bail. Reportedly, Kangana approached the court after a bailable warrant was issued against her for not responding to the Court's summons.
