Killer Of Bathinda Military Camp Open Fire Incident Arrested

The Indian Army force nabbed the killer in the recent Bathinda Military Camp open fire Incident. The killer was arrested nine hours after the incident, following which the Indian Army issued an official statement in this regard. Notably, in early hours of April 12, an open fire incident killed four officials. Meanwhile, Army Chief General Manoj Pande is likely to meet Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and brief about the incident.

Union Minister Rajnath Singh Unveils 75 New AI-Powered Defence Equipments

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh unveiled 75 newly created Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies on July 11 at the Ministry of Defence's first-ever "AI in Defence" (AIDef) conference and exhibition in New Delhi. The Raksha Mantri launched a print and electronic edition of the book including information about these 75 products. Rajnath Singh praised the efforts, calling AI a revolutionary milestone in the evolution of mankind.

Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Warns China; Says, 'Will Not Spare Anyone'

Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, during his recent address in San Francisco, sent out a fresh warning to China. Singh made it clear that India would "not spare anyone" if India is harmed. He also lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and said that India is destined to become one of the top three economies in the globe. He also added that India does not believe in "zero-sum game" diplomacy.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh In Hawaii, Will Visit Indo-Pacific Command

Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has touched down in Hawaii. Upon his arrival, Singh shared on Twitter that he would be visiting the headquarters of the US Army Pacific, the Pacific Air Forces and the US Indo-Pacific Command. He was accorded a warm welcome by Commander (US INDOPACOM) Admiral John Aquilino. The Indian military and the USINDOPACOM have a number of engagements, which include training and joint military exercises.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Tests COVID-19 Positive

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh tested positive for COVID-19. On January 10, he took to Twitter and posted, "I have tested positive with Corona today with mild symptoms. I am under home quarantine. I request everyone who have recently come in my contact to isolate themselves and get tested". Notably, Mr. Rajnath Singh recently held a virtual meeting and announced 100 sainik schools, providing opportunity for girls to join army.

PM Modi Extends Greetings On Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 9, extended greetings on the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, 10th guru of the Sikh religion. The IAF tri services inquiry team, investigating the December 8 chopper crash, gave a detailed presentation to the Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. On January 5, the team mentioned chopper flying at low altitude amid thick cloud emergence, could be a major reason of crash. In addition, the team also suggested some revised SoP for choppers along with flying team to be mix of "master green" and other category pilots.

Rajnath Singh Briefs Parliament Over Tamil Nadu Chopper Crash Incident

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed the Parliament over Tamil Nadu chopper crash incident, on December 9. He paid tribute to those who died in the incident including Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat, his wife and 11 others.  The mortal remains of the victims will be brought to Delhi, said Rajnath Singh. He added that the last rites of the victims will be conducted with military honours.
