Sri Lanka Designs Road Map In India To Strengthen Trade

A two-year mandate road map has been produced by the Sri Lankan High Commission in India to reinforce allegiance in trade, defense, connectivity, religion, and people. "The sharing of their similar experiences is an ongoing process", the 27-page document said about the similar multi-cultural society of both countries. Visits by Sri Lankan President, PM, Foreign minister to India, and vice versa have also been included in the document.

Ordnance Factory Board To Split Into 7 Corporate Entities

The 200-year old Ordnance Factory Board is now approved by the government to be split up into seven corporate entities. The OFB looked after 41 ammunition and defence equipment facilities and housed 70,000 employees whose service conditions will not be changed. Pension liabilities are to be borne by the govt as stated by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The decision was taken in a Cabinet meeting Chaired by PM Narendra Modi.

DRDO To Indigenously Develop Nuclear Attack Submarines In India

Three out of the six nuclear attack submarines are being 'Made In India' up to 95 percent. However, this would provide a big boost to the domestic defence sector including both private and public sector, said a government official. Reportedly, a proposal worth around Rs 50,000 crore has been requested to build three nuclear submarines by the DRDO in Visakhapatnam. Moreover, planners are confident of indigenously building the submarines.

Chinese Warplane Enters Taiwan's Airspace

Taiwan reported yet another Chinese warplane entering the Taiwanese Southeast Air Defense Identification Zone (AIDZ) on April 4. India Has World's Fourth Strongest Military, China At Top: Study

A recent study released by Military Direct has revealed that India stands fourth in terms of military strength with 61 out of 100 points. While China, scoring 82 points, topped the list, the United States and Russia stood second and third with 74 and 69 points respectively. Notably, the US emerged as the highest spender on the military with a budget of $732 billion a year followed by China and India.
