Russian Plane Receives Bomb Threat Lands In Delhi, CISF Launches Investigation

A Russian aeroplane received a bomb threat, following which the Indian Civil Aviation Department alerted at the Delhi Indira Gandhi International Aiport, On October 14, morning, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) received an e-mail warning of a bomb on the flight, with 386 passengers and 14 crew members, who were evacuated immediately. Furthermore, an investigation is also underway in this regard.

Pilot Strike Of Lufthansa Airlines Creates Ruckus At Delhi Airport

Maruti Car Stops Under Indigo Flight Before Take Off At Delhi Airport

In Delhi airport's Terminal T-2, a Maruti Swift Dezire stopped right under the nose area of Indigo flight VT-ITJ, on August 2. It was also noted that the car narrowly avoided collision with the aircraft. It was when the flight was set to take off to Patna, the vehicle appeared in the scene. A senior DGCA official ordered probe into the matter, and reportedly, the driver was not drunk.

CISF Detained 4 Passengers With International Currency Worth Rs 59 Lakh, Investigation Underway

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) detained four people and seized foreign currency worth Rs 59 lakh at the Delhi international airport, confirmed police on June 30. As per sources, 2,19,740 Saudi Riyals and USD 15,200 worth about Rs 59 lakh was recovered from a tiffin-box in the name of passengers, travelling from Delhi to Dubai. The four were later handed over to customs officials and a detailed investigation is underway.

Delhi Airport Begins Real-Time Trials Of Full Body Scanner

Trials of full body scanner at Terminal 2 of Indira Gandhi International Airport has been started by Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL). The airport authority stated that the scanners have cleared heath safety standards and will scan the full body without making any contact. Reportedly, the trials will be on real-time basis, and the passengers would have to pass through it during their security check.

NIA Files Chargesheet Against 4 In Fake Currency Seizure Case: Delhi

In a case related to the seizure of fake Indian currency and gold at Indhira Gandhi International Airport, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed chargesheet against four accused. The case pertains to the seizure of fake currency to the tune of Rs 10 lakh and 175 grams of gold at New Delhi airport, by the customs. The chargesheet has been filed against Mohd Shahjan, Amir-Ul-Haq, Abdul Wahid and Amandeep.

AirAsia Deploys Taxibot At Bangalore Airport After Successful Trials

AirAsia India has deployed taxibot at Bengaluru airport, which helps a plane to move from the parking spot to the runway, without running the engines. Earlier AirAsia used taxibot at Delhi airport to tow two modified A320 planes. AirAsia has reportedly tied up with KSU Aviation, which is the exclusive taxibot operator in India. Taxibot is a semi-robotic towbarless aircraft movement equipment.

US-Bound Air India Flight Makes Emergency Landing At Delhi Airport

Owing to a medical emergency on board, an Air India flight, AI-105, returned to Delhi airport after three hours of flight on December 4, which was scheduled to land in USA's Newark. Reportedly, a man, travelling with his wife, fell ill on the plane. He was declared dead by doctors at the airport after a thorough check, reported ANI. The flight was resumed at around 4:00 PM.

Following an Air India Plane that got stuck under the foot overbridge at Delhi-Gurugram highway, a 40-second viral video of the incident has left the netizens amused on social media. However, the company has released an official statement claiming the airline has no connection with the incident. Reportedly, It was sold to a scrap dealer and the new owner was transporting it when it got stuck under the bridge.
