Delhi Capitals opener David Warner equalled the record of Rohit Sharma for winning the most player of the match award 18th time in the history of IPL on May 5. David scored 92 off 58 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad, hitted 12 Fours and three sixes in the 50th match of IPL 2022, at the Brabourne Stadium Mumbai. Now Warner is the third player of the match awards in IPL history.

The IPL authority fined Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant for Rs 12 lakh, due to his side's slow over-rate against Lucknow Super Giants in a match in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Former Indian Cricketer Ajit Agarkar, on February 23, joined IPL team Delhi Capitals as Assistant Coach. "I have been lucky enough to be a player and to be returning in a different capacity".
