Hathras Gang Rape Case: 1 Guilty, 3 Acquitted In Hathras Gang Rape Case

The SC/ST Delhi Court found one guilty and acquitted three other accused in the 2020 Hathras Gang Rape in Uttar Pradesh. On March 2, the Apex Court determined that out of the four accused, Sandeep (20), Ravi (35), Luv Kush (23), and Ramu (26), only Sandeep is held guilty of the crime. A Dalit girl was raped and left with serious injuries in September 2020 at Boolgarhi in the Hathras, UP.

Nikki Yadav Murder Case: Delhi Police Arrest Accused's Father For Helping

In the Delhi fridge murder case, the police continued the investigation and said the accused's family helped him to plan the murder of the girl. Notably, in Delhi Sahil Gehlot allegedly murdered his live-in partner Nikki Yadav and hid her body in a fridge, amid an argument over Sahil's engagement under family pressure. Now, the police have arrested Gehlot's father and three family members for helping Sahil to plan the murder.

Delhi Resident Kills Wife & Son, Investigation Underway

A 40-year-old man in Delhi's Geeta Colony has allegedly murdered his wife and son. Sachin, a grocery shop owner, fled the scene after committing the crime, and later admitted to committing the act in a family WhatsApp group chat. While the motive behind the double-murder is yet not clear, the Delhi cops investigating the matter are suspecting that the family's financial hardships may have led to this act.

Delhi Man Brutally Murdered, CCTV Footage Goes Viral

A man was murdered viciously by around eight people in Delhi's Sangam Vihar this Sunday. In the CCTV footage that has gone viral, showed armed men mercilessly attacking the man with weapons inside a shop. As of now, five of the assailants have been identified, and one has been arrested. The police have suspected revenge to be the motive behind this cold-blooded murder of the shop owner.

CBI Arrests Police Sub-Inspector While Accepting Bribe: Delhi

In light of the Vigilance Awareness Week 2021, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on October 28, arrested a Delhi based Police Sub-Inspector accepting Rs 50,000 in bribe. The money was accepted from a person accused under the offence of attempt to commit culpable homicide, according to sources. The police official was arrested in a mall from the national capital and have been taken for enquiry, said reports.

Deputy Labour Commissioner In J&K Administration Robbed In Delhi

A deputy labour commissioner in the Jammu and Kashmir administration was robbed by two miscreants in the Khanpur area of South Delhi on October 16. The initial probe revealed that she was allegedly robbed by 'Thak Thak' gang members. The incident took place two to three days ago, when the victim was going to Faridabad in her car. Reportedly, two scooter-borne men stopped and robbed her. Police investigation is underway.

Crime Rate Against Women In Delhi Takes A 25% Dip: NCRB

According to data released by the National Crime Records Bureau, there is a decline in the cases of kidnapping, abduction, or attempt to rape in the year 2020 as compared to 2019 numbers. The change may be due to the Covid-19 Lockdown and other restrictions. Delhi police reported the tally of cases as 2,938 filed under kidnapping, murder, rape, and around 1,840 cases of assault.

India's 'Delhi Crime' Bags Best Drama Series Award At International Emmys

Netflix's Indian web series 'Delhi Crime' has been awarded as the 'Best Drama Series' at the 2020 International Emmy Awards. The series is based on the investigation of the '2012 Delhi gangrape case' and is directed by Richie Mehta. "Finally, to the tireless mother, and her daughter," added Mehta in his virtual speech. The lead actor Shefali Shah expressed her excitement on Twitter. India had bagged nominations in other categories also.

Delhi: Police Find Body Of Woman With Injuries On Neck In Bushes

The Delhi Police have found a dead body of a woman, with injuries on neck, in the forested area in Dwarka Sector 23. The 40-year-old victim, identified as Sharma, was a resident of Revla Khanpur. The police said, "She was attacked with a sharp object. It could be a knife or blade." Reportedly, a case has been registered in this regard and the body has been sent for post-mortem.
