Arvind Kejriwal Skips ED Summon, To Address Rally In MP
In the latest development, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal skipped the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summon, as he is scheduled to campaign in Madhya Pradesh. Notably, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) President was supposed to appear before the ED in connection with the 2021–2022 Delhi Excise Policy Scam on November 2. However, Kejriwal will not appear and also asked the ED to withdraw the summons, saying its "illegal and politically motivated."

Arvind Kejriwal To Appear Before ED In Delhi Excise Policy Scam
Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi CM and President of AAP, has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam. It is noted that the summons of ED came six months after the CBI questioned the Delhi CM in the 2021–2022, now-scraped Excise Policy Scam. Meanwhile, the opposition leaders are alleging the ruling BJP-government of misusing the national agency, especially at time of 2024 elections.

ED Summons Arvind Kejriwal For Questioning In Delhi Excice Policy Case
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) issued a summons notice to Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) President, in the 2021–2022 Delhi Excise Policy Scam. As per the issued summons, Kejriwal has been asked to appear before the ED, for questioning on November 2. Earlier, the CBI questioned Kejriwal in the case, in which Manish Sisodia is the prime accused, and is in Tihar Jail, after bail denial.

No Court Relief: SC Denied Bail To Manish Sisodia
In a major setback to ex-Deputy CM of Delhi Manish Sisodia, the Supreme Court rejected the bail plea in the 2021-2022 Delhi Excise Policy Scam. On October 30, the Apex Court reviewed the matter, and refused bail as per an establishment of money trail of ₹ 338 crores in the case. Furthermore, the court also ordered the CBI and ED to complete the trials in 6-8 months.

Manish Sisodia Files For Bail In SC, Hearing On July 14
In a fresh move, Manish Sisodia, the former Delhi Deputy CM, moved the Apex Court, seeking bail in the Delhi Excise Policy Scam. Notably, the move came after the Delhi High Court rejected the plea of Sisodia, seeking bail in the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and CBI cases. The SC scheduled the hearing of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, who is in custody since March, on July 14.

Arvind Kejriwal Takes Dig At CBI Agencies After Summon Issued
After being summoned by the CBI in the Delhi Excise Policy Scam, Arvind Kejriwal took a dig at the agency. In a statement, the AAP President and Delhi CM Kejriwal said, If I pay Rs 1,000 crores to PM Narendra Modi will you arrest him. kejriwal further said, "Every day they arrest someone. The arrestees are tortured, mentally as well." He alleged central agency to play against Sisodia and him.

Judicial Custody Of Manish Sisodia Extended Till April 17
In another drawback for AAP Government, Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia's judicial custody has been extended till April 17. A Special Rouse Court in Delhi reviewed the plea of the CBI, seeking an extension in the judicial custody in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy Scam. After hearing, the court extended Sisodia's remand till April 17. With this, Sisodia will be in Tihar Jail for another 2 weeks.

Manish Sisodia Says, "Even If I'm In Jail, Don't Feel Sorry'
Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia arrived at the CBI Office, for interrogation in the controversial Delhi Excise Policy Scam. Ahead of the interrogation, Sisodia tweeted, "Even if I am in jail for 7-8 months, don't feel sorry for me, be proud. PM [Narendra] Modi is afraid of Arvind Kejriwal, so he wants to frame me in a fake case." Sisodia blamed the BJP-Government of framing him, and fears arrest.

Manish Sisodia Reacts To CBI Questioning In Delhi Excise Policy Scam
The CBI called Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Sunday for questioning in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy. Reacting to the same, Sisodia said, "The further investigation in the case regarding the money trail and the larger conspiracy in the formulation and implementation of Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 is still in progress." Notably, the CBI registered a case against Manish Sisodia and others in Delhi Excise Policy Scam.

YSRCP MP's Son Arrested In Delhi Liquor Policy Scam
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Raghav Magunta, son of the YSRCP MP Srinivasulu Reddy Magunta, in the Delhi Excise Policy Scam. He was arrested on the evening of February 10, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) for alleged irregularities and money laundering allegations in the now-scrapped policy scam. Raghav will be produced before a local court on February 11, for further custody under the ED for investigation.
