Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport has been awarded the title of 'Best Airport over 40 million passengers’ category in Asia-Pacific. In addition, the airport has also been given the title of the 'Cleanest Airport' in the Asia-Pacific region. This is the fifth time in a row IGIA has bagged the award for the best airport in the Asia-Pacific region. Delhi Airport was recognised as the finest airport in the Asia-Pacific.

AAP Govt Elevates MLAs Saurabh Bharadwaj, Atishi As Ministers
Amid the ongoing political drama in Delhi, the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP announced to elevate of MLAs Saurabh Bharadwaj and Atishi as Delhi Cabinet ministers. The decision was taken hours after the resignation of Manish Sisodia from his Deputy CM and portfolios. Kejriwal has sent the names of Saurabh and Atishi to Delhi LG VK Saxena, and after approval, the ministers will take oath in the next 48 hours.

Delhi Govt Grants Electric Vehicle Subsidies Worth Rs 100 Crore: Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot
Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot stated providing discounts to buyers of electric vehicles beyond a certain point is not "very healthy," on August 22. He also stated that the government has set an aim of one charging point every three kilometers. Under its Electric Vehicle Policy, which was established in 2020, Delhi government has already granted incentives of about Rs 100 crore on electric vehicles, the most of any state.

Delhi Govt Announces Financial Assistance Program For Aspiring Female Professional Drivers
Delhi government introduced a scheme on July 18 to give financial assistance to women who want to undergo driving training and become professional taxi drivers. Delhi Deputy CM Presents Delhi's Education Approach At Education World Forum-2022, London
Manish Sisodia, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, spoke before 122 education ministers and professionals from around the world at the Education World Forum, 2022 in London on May 23. As per Sisodia, the Delhi administration increased people's faith in the government school system by prioritizing education. According to him, the number of pupils enrolled in Delhi government schools has grown by 21% since 2015.

Anti-Open Burning Campaign Extended Till June 13: Delhi Government
The government will prolong its anti-open burning campaign by a month to June 13, as per Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai. This is the second phase of the campaign. During the initial phase, which ran from April 12 to May 12, 500 teams of officers supervised sites in Delhi 24x7. The first phase, saw 5,241 locations investigated, 23 warnings and challans issued, and six people convicted.

Coal Shortage May Lead Power Outage For Metros, Hospital: Delhi Govt
In view of the coal shortage, the Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government warned of a possible interruption of electricity supply to important establishments like metro trains and hospitals. On April 28, the Arvind Kejriwal government released a statement that read, "Due to disruption of power supply from Dadri-II and Unchahar power stations, there may be a problem in 24-hours power supply". The statement came after an emergency meeting.
