The Delhi High Court will commence live streaming of court proceedings in an identified manner from October 11. The live streaming will be implemented on a case-by-case basis in accordance with court directives. CBI To Produce Manish Sisodia Before Delhi HC In Liquor Scam

Former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia will be produced before the Delhi High Court, on March 4. He will be produced in connection with the Delhi Liquor Policy scam, in which the CBI would demand an extension of Sisodia's judicial custody. Notably, a special CBI court remanded the AAP leader, the prime accused in the Delhi Liquor Scam. The court proceedings will begin at 2:00 pm, confirmed sources.

Manish Sisodia Moves Delhi HC In Delhi Liquor Policy Scam

After the Supreme Court rejected the petition of Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, the AAP leader moved the Delhi High Court. Filed on March 3, Sisodia sought relief from arrest and CBI investigation in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam. Notably, Sisodia has been arrested by the CBI and has been remanded till March 5, after being named as the prime accused in the 2021-2022 Delhi Liquor Policy Scam.

Hathras Gang Rape Case: 1 Guilty, 3 Acquitted In Hathras Gang Rape Case

The SC/ST Delhi Court found one guilty and acquitted three other accused in the 2020 Hathras Gang Rape in Uttar Pradesh. On March 2, the Apex Court determined that out of the four accused, Sandeep (20), Ravi (35), Luv Kush (23), and Ramu (26), only Sandeep is held guilty of the crime. A Dalit girl was raped and left with serious injuries in September 2020 at Boolgarhi in the Hathras, UP.

Delhi HC Issues Notice To ED Regarding Plea Of Satyendar Jain

The Delhi High Court issued notice to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on a plea moved by Delhi Minister Satyendar Jain, on September 26. The notice was in regard to the plea of Jain, against the transfer of proceedings in the money laundering case against him to a new judge. Seeking the probe agency`s reply in the matter, Justice Yogesh Khanna listed the further hearing for September 28.

No Bail To Former NSE MD Chitra Ramakrishna, Delhi HC

The Delhi HC reviewed the bail plea filed by former MD and CEO Chitra Ramakrishna and rejected the bail request. On August 29, the HC single bench of Justice Sunena Sharma denied relief to Chitra in a money laundering case related to the alleged illegal phone tapping and snooping of NSE employees between 2009-2017. Notably, Chitra and her close associate are being investigated by the ED for money laundering.

Delhi HC Reserves Order In Bail Plea Of NSE Former CEO Chitra Ramakrishna

A Delhi court on reserved its order on the bail plea of National Stock Exchange's (NSE) former CEO and MD Chitra Ramkrishna. The duo were arrested in in connection with a money laundering case in connection with the co-location scam that also involved phone tapping of NSEs employees between 2009 and 2017. The Delhi court last reviewed the matter on August 25, and reserved the orders.

Delhi HC Issues Directions To Police On Strict Ban Of Synthetic Manjha Used In Flying Kites

The Delhi High Court has issued directions to Delhi police and other authorities to strictly implement the prohibition of use of any kind of synthetic manjha. Chinese samjha/ synthetic manjha, a material used in flying kites, has been banned following the National Green Tribunal's (NGT) judgement. Furthermore, a PIL was filed to ban flying kites as a whole. However, the court refused to pass directions in favour of it.

PIL Filed In Delhi HC Seeking Ban On Kites

In the Delhi High Court, a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been moved, seeking direction to the Centre and Delhi government for a ban on flying, making, sale-purchase, storage and transportation of kites. The PIL mentioned that many persons and birds were killed and injured due to accidents caused by kite strings and such accidents were occurring regularly, raising life and safety of human beings and birds.
