Delhi Police Arrests 2 People Involved In Pro Khalistani Slogans On Delhi Metro Case
In connection with the Pro-Khalistani graffiti incident, the Delhi police arrested two persons. The two accused were apprehended in Punjab by the Delhi Police in connection with writing pro-Khalistan messages and slogans on the walls of at least five Delhi Metro stations on August 27, officials said on Thursday. Both the persons were tracked based on the CCTV footage near the station areas while further investigation is being carried out.

Delhi Man Kills Family Before Hanging Himself, Case Registered
A Delhi metro employee stabbed his wife and two children before hanging himself in a grisly murder-suicide case reported from the national capital today. Police say the man, 45-year-old Sushil Kumar, his wife, 40-year-old Anuradha, and six-year-old daughter Aditi, died, while his 13-year-old son, Yuvaraj, is undergoing treatment for stab injuries at a hospital. Woman Passenger Jumps From Moving Metro, Receives Injury
A woman passenger allegedly jumped in front of a moving metro train and got hit, leading to a brief delay in services, tweeted Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on July 4. " Yellow Line Update Delay in services from Central Secretariat to Green Park due to a passenger on track at Jor Bagh," read DMRC tweet. Yellow Lines connects Samaypur Badli in Delhi and HUDA City Centre in Gurgaon.

Blue Line Metro Services In Delhi Disrupts For Third Time In Week
Delhi Metro's Blue Line services from Dwarka Sector 21 and Noida Electronic City or Vaishali were disrupted on June 9. "Blue Line Update: Delay in services. Normal service on all other lines," DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) said. DMRC has not disclosed the cause of the delay. Furthermore, blue line metro services have been effected three times in the last four days.

Delhi Metro Service Delay On Blue Lines Irked Commuters
Delhi people traveling on Blue Line connecting Vaishali and Noida with Dwarka are facing issues due to delay in services of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC.) On April 21, the DMRC official took to Twitter and said, "Delay in services between Dwarka Sector 21 and Noida Electronic City/Vaishali. Normal service on all other lines". However, the reason behind the delay has not been disclosed by the officials.

Vikas Kumar Takes Charge As DMRC Managing Director: Delhi
IAS officer Vikas Kumar is the new Managing Director of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), taking office charges from April 1. AAP-led Delhi government appointed Kumar, who replaced Mangu Singh, whose term ended on March 31. Notably, Kumar, who held the position of the Director (Operations) in the DMRC, has over 30 years of experience in rail-based urban transportation projects and has worked with the Railways prior to DMRC.

Delhi Metro To Restart As Per Regular Schedule On Weekends
The DMRC issued a statement on January 27 and said that the metro services will resume as per the regular weekend schedule from January 29. After seeing a dip in Covid-19 cases the weekend curfew was lifted. Meanwhile, with 50% capacity restaurants, bars, and cinema halls will be reopened and shops with an odd-even system. However, with 100% seating capacity metro will start without any passengers standing inside the metro.

Delhi Metro Set To Expand NFC System To Pay Fare Through Mobile
To encourage cashless transactions, the Delhi Metro has planned to introduce near-field communication (NFC) system for passengers to pay for their journey through their mobile phones, using debit or credit cards. Reportedly, the service is currently available on the Airport Express line. All in all, passengers will get options such as a Smart card, National Common Mobility Card, mobile-based NFC, mobile QR code, and paper QR ticket.

Delhi Metro Launches Free WiFi At Yellow Line Metro Stations
In a step to improve the services for passengers, Delhi Metro has launched the free high-speed wifi service at Yellow line that covers 37 metro stations between Huda City Centre to Samaypur Badli on October 17. Anyone needs logging into network ID ''OUI DMARC FREE Wi-Fi'' followed by filling OTP and accepting terms conditions. Reportedly, the service will further be introduced inside Metro trains in a year's time.
