Tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR and across Northern India on October 3, after twin earthquakes of magnitude 4.6 and 6.2 struck Nepal between 2 to 3 pm (IST). The epicenter of the earthquake was Nepal, according to the National Center for Seismology. People rush out of the office building as strong tremors of earthquake were felt across North India. After Delhi, the Maharashtra Government also banned bike taxi services like Rapido, Ola Moto and Uber Moto to ply on the streets. The transport department has warned bike taxis against plying on the roads of Delhi. The first offence by the aggregators could lead to a fine of Rs 5,000, while the second offence could lead to a fine of Rs 10,000 and imprisonment up to a year, said notice.

Decorated police officer K Vijay Kumar, credited for eliminating forest brigand Veerappan, has resigned as the senior security advisor in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). On October 15, Kumar resigned from post, due to personal reasons, has vacated his accommodation in Delhi and relocated to Chennai. Following an increase in COVID-19 instances, Delhi-NCR area is also seeing an alarming outbreak of viral fever, with eight out of ten homes displaying symptoms in the previous 30 days. The poll garnered over 11,000 replies from inhabitants of Delhi, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Noida, and Faridabad. In the recent 30 days, 54% of respondents said that at least two members of their household had one or more symptoms of viral fever.

In connection with the excise policy controversy, the Central Bureau of Investigation searched the house of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
