Delhi Reports Increased Road Accidents In 2021 Compared To 2020: Police Commissioner
Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana briefed about the total number of deaths caused by road accidents, which have increased in the national capital. The number has increased from 1151 in 2020 to 1180 in 2021. The commissioner believes that the increase has been caused due to a rise in major traffic offences like overspeeding and triple riding.

Major Reshuffle In Effect To Bring Transparency: Delhi Police Commissioner

Rakesh Asthana Named as Delhi's New Police Commissioner
Rakesh Asthana, who is currently serving as the Chief of the Border Security Force (BSF) will hold the prestigious position of the Delhi Police Commissioner. IPS Officer Balaji Srivastava will be replaced by 1984 batch IPS Officer Asthana, as per the circular issued by MHA on July 27th. He has been given the post of Delhi Police Commissioner before three days he was to be superannuated.

Delhi Police Initiates ‘Jan Sunwai’ Camp To Address Public Grievances
Delhi Police Commissioner, Balaji Shrivastava has organized the ‘Jan Sunwai’ camps for swift redressal of public grievances. The camps will be conducted every Saturday from between 4-6 pm at the police stations. "Street crime, redressal of public grievances, ensuring women safety, the welfare of the personnel, and initiating anti-terror measures are among the priority areas, "police officials said.
