The Delhi police has filed an FIR against Pawan Munjal, the Executive Chairman of Hero MotoCorp, CNBC-TV 18 reported on October 9.The FIR was registered in relation to a matter before 2010 and has no relation with any ongoing investigation. The Delhi Police, on October 2, arrested a suspected terrorist and member of ISIS Shahnawaz alias Shafi Uzzama. According to sources, the terrorist was wanted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and had a reward of ₹3 lakhs, after his name. Shahnawaz, who is an engineer by profession, is a resident of Delhi and had escaped from Pune police custody and was hiding in Delhi. An investigation is underway.
In Delhi, a horrific incident was reported, a 49-year-old woman allegedly poured acid on her 22-year-old daughter-in-law. The police confirmed the case and arrested the accused identified as Anjali, a resident of the New Usmanpur area in northeast Delhi. According to police, the incident occurred on September 21, at around 5.30 p.m. The complainant was admitted to JPC Hospital with 25 per cent acid burns.
Delhi Police booked two unidentified youths who allegedly brandished a gun while threatening a man during a quarrel after their motorcycle collided with his parked car in Bhajanpura in northeast Delhi. Happened on September 18, the incident was captured on a purported CCTV, which appeared on social media and showed that the motorcycle rider lost control of the vehicle which rammed into the stationary car.
In connection with the Pro-Khalistani graffiti incident, the Delhi police arrested two persons. The two accused were apprehended in Punjab by the Delhi Police in connection with writing pro-Khalistan messages and slogans on the walls of at least five Delhi Metro stations on August 27, officials said on Thursday.
