Congress To Hold Discussion Over Controversial UCC Law

Amid the ongoing UCC law controversy, the Indian National Congress (INC) Parliamentary group is scheduled to hold a crucial meeting, on July 1. The scheduled meeting will be held at Janpath Marg, discussing the controversial Uniform Civil Code (UCC) Law, expected to be introduced in the upcoming Monsoon Parliament Session. The meeting came ahead of the Parliament Standing Committee meeting scheduled to be held on July 3.

Arvind Kejriwal Warns 'Big Reshuffle' Into Delhi Administration Soon

After the Supreme Court verdict, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led Government alerted for a big reshuffle of the cabinet, and topmost officials in the government. The announcement of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal came hours after the verdict, which ruled out the Governor's order of not having Delhi government's involvement in service power. AAP Councillor Quits Party, Joins BJP In Delhi

After the recent Delhi Civic Polls, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Pawan Sehrawat decided to join the opposition BJP. On February 24, the AAP councillor from Bawana was welcomed by working president Virendra Sachdeva and general secretary Harsh Malhotra. Sehrawat claims suffocation and corruption, a reasons to quit AAP.  The political switch came hours after the disturbed election of six members of the standing committee, at Civic Centre.
