Manish Sisodia To Be Grilled In Delhi Excise Policy Scam, Heavy Security Deployed
Ahead of the Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) questioning of Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, the Delhi Police deployed heavy security including a four-layer barricade and Rapid Action Force (RAF.) On February 26, Manish Sisodia would appear before the CBI in the ongoing Delhi Excise Policy Scam. The central agency has made a thorough list of questions. Furthermore, Sisodia is expected to reach the CBI office at Lodhi Road, at 11 am.

Building Collapses In Delhi’s Lahori Gate; 11 Rescued, 1 Dead
A two-storey building which was in “dilapidated condition”, collapsed near Delhi’s Lahori Gate on October 9. The incident claimed the life of a 4-year-old girl. Earlier, nine persons were successfully rescued, and now two more have been added to the tally. The injured have reportedly been admitted to the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan hospital. Delhi Excise Policy Case: CBI Arrest Man For Alleged Lobbying
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has made another arrest in the case of Delhi excise policy. A man has been arrested for allegedly lobbying for a South India-based businessman, on October 10. The accused, Abhishek Boinpally, a resident of Hyderabad, was arrested after he failed to cooperate with the central agency. The CBI stated that he will now be produced before a court.

Delhi Governor Approves 300 Hotels, Clubs And Online Services, Function Round Clock In Delhi
In a major boost to the nightlife of Delhi, LG Governor A. Saxena permitted 300 hotels and clubs to operate 24X7, in the national capital. On October 9, the Delhi Governor ordered to issue a notice in this regard and said, "Starting next week, the 300-plus establishments will be able to operate on a 24X7 basis in the national capital". It will help major businesses, including online services, boost the economy.

In New Delhi’s Gandhi Nagar market fire incident, a 19-year-old boy was charred to death on October 5, informed officials. The deceased was reportedly an employee and owner’s brother at the shop that caught on fire. The incident was first reported by Aftab, a worker at the cloth shop, who saw smoke from the shop as he was returning from the main road.

Delhi’s Mundka Fire Tragedy: Building Owner Files Revision Petition Challenging Order Denying Bail
In the ongoing investigation into the Delhi’s Mundka fire case, the building owner accused has filed a revision petition, challenging the order denying him bail. The petitioner had reportedly filed a bail application on the grounds that charge-sheet has not been filed. However, the application was rejected. The Outer-north district police of Delhi arrested infamous gangster Neeraj Bawani’s father for alleged possession of illegal weapons, on September 29, informed Delhi police. The arrest has come after the police conducted a raid at his residence, where the weapon was seized. Earlier on September 16, police arrested Sonu, a Neeraj Bawani gang member and recovered a bulletproof SUV and a Scorpio, along with huge cache of arms.

Vijay Nair Sent To 5-Day CBI Remand In Delhi Excise Policy Case
In the ongoing investigation of the Delhi Excise policy case, a Delhi court has sent Vijay Nair to five-day CBI remand. Although, the CBI had sought for a seven-day remand. Vijay Nair is the communications chief of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the former CEO of Mumbai-based entertainment company ‘Only Much Louder’. Nair was arrested on September 27, for cartelisation, conspiracy and chosen licensing.
