Dengue On Rise In India, Dr Anurag Saxena Calls For Measures Needed
Dr Anurag Saxena, HOD, internal medicine, Primus Super Speciality Hospital, said that dengue cases have experienced fluctuations over time with several factors contributing to it. “It is believed that the increase in dengue cases is directly linked to the humid and warm climate during the monsoon season,” he said. The doctor also emphasized on the need of cleanliness and hygiene to avoid rise in dengue cases.

Yamuna River Water Level Is Above Danger Mark, Nothing To Worry
After a drop in water level, the Yamuna River is above danger water mark in Delhi, amid rainfall. On July 17, the water level in the Yamuna increased from 205.45 metres at 6am to 205.50 metres at 8am and 205.76 metres at 11:00am. Furthermore, Delhi Minister Atishi Singh said, "Delhi does not face any danger due to it but the people in relief camps are requested not to go back."

Heavy Rainfall Alert In North Indian States, IMD Says 40 Years Record Broken
North Indian states including the national capital received heavy to very heavy rainfall, killing people in the past few days. The iMD issued an orange alert and asked people to be cautious with the rainfall, which has allegedly broken the 40 year old record. The IMD said a western disturbance prevailed over northern India, leading to an intense spell of rain in north Indian states like Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, J&K and Delhi.

Open Fire Incident At Tis Hazari, Lawyers Brawl Over Parking Space
Manish Sharma, senior vice president of Tis Hazari court, had an argument with his secretary over parking, and allegedly opened fire, causing chaos at the West Wing Chamber. Condemning the incident that happened on July 5, the Bar Council of Delhi said, "It will be inquired if the weapons were licensed or not. Even if the weapons were licensed, no lawyer or anyone else can use them like this."

Tihar Jail Prisoner Attacked By Inmate With Handmade Knife
An undertrial prisoner lodged in Delhi's Tihar jail was injured after he was allegedly attacked by other inmates with an improvised knife, a handmade tool, and a tile. According to jail officials, the incident took around 12:38 pm inside Central Jail no 1 at the Tihar prison complex. This is not the first time, a prisoner has been hurt in judicial custody. Moreover, a case has been registered.
