SC Issues Stay Order On Curlies Demolition In Goa

The Supreme Court issued a stay order on the demolition of Curlies, a nightclub in Goa, after the alleged violations. The owner of the club claimed that SC stayed demolition, which was started by the Goa North Coastal Regulation Zone on September 9. The demolition was scheduled after on September 8, the National Green Tribunal rejected owner's plea for stay on demolition and upheld NCRZ for Curlies demolition.

Goa's Infamous Nightclub Curlies Set To Be Demolished Soon

Goa's infamous nightclub 'Curlies' will soon be demolished by the  Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority. On September 8, the National Green Tribunal (NGT) rejected an appeal filed by the owner of Curlies and upheld the decision of the GSZM and allowed the demolition. The Authority ordered to demolish the alleged illegal structure in which BJP leader and actor Sonali Phogat was recently killed and an investigation is underway.

Twin Towers Demolition Process To Begin Soon, Evacuation Over: Noida

Hours ahead of the demolition of Twins Towers in Noida, a huge police force has been deployed in the region. Furthermore, the National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) and 506 cops are on alert, to ensure smooth demolition, on August 28, at 2:30 pm. In addition, the evacuation process has been completed. Noida Twin Towers All Set For Demolition, Police In Force To Vacate Area

The Supreme Court ended the 9-year-long battle of the twin-tower-demolition case in Noida, and announced the verdict in favour of the Residents Welfare Association. Noida Twin Towers Rigged With 3,700 Kgs Of Explosives For Destruction

Supertech's two illegal towers in Noida have been outfitted with around 3,700 kg of explosives in preparation for their scheduled destruction on August 28. The installation of explosives during the charging phase was finished on August 22. On August 23, trunking will begin. On August 13, a total of 40 individuals, including blasters and skilled personnel, began simultaneously charging the Ceyane (29 storeys) and Apex (32 storeys) towers.

SC Questions Demolition In UP, Asks Govt To Stop Process & File Reply

Supreme Court reviewed a petition filed against the demolition in Uttar Pradesh, and said, no demolition should be carried out by the Yogi Adityanath-led Government. On June 16, SC bench AS Bopanna and Vikram Nath asked the State Government to file a counter reply, explaining how the demolition process is being carried out as per municipal law and order, within next three days.

Former SC, HC Judges Write To CJI Ramana Against Protestor's House Demolition In UP

The former Supreme Court and High Court judges wrote to the Chief Justice of India NV Ramana, asking for a suo-motu cognizance of the detention of protestors and demolition of their houses by the UP Government. Notably, after the recent protest against prophet remarks, the UP Civic Body demolished houses of many protestors, calling illegal encroachment. However, the judges condemned and demanded action and arrest of concerned officials.

3 Govt Officials Suspended Over Alwar Temple Demolition

Noida's 40-Floor Twin-Tower To Be Demolished, Says Supreme Court

The Supreme Court on August 31 ordered the authorities to demolish a 40-floor twin tower of real estate firm 'Supertech' in Noida within three months. However, the court's order came after almost 7 years following the demolition order issued by the Allahabad HC in 2014 due to lack of safety standards. Moreover, the order stated that the builder has to bear the expenses and also compensate the flat owners.
