Indian Army Officer To Face GCM Amid Corruption Charges
Indian Army officer will face General Court Martial for charges of corruption and others against him. According to ANI, he is alleged of wrongdoing during the 2016 demonetization. The GCM proceedings will begin from January 10, 2022 at Western Command Headquarters. Notably, the Indian Army Officer, posted in Delhi allowed old currencies in exchange of new ones, during the time, when use was prohibited.

No Rs 2000 Note Printed In 2 Years, Says Anurag Thakur In Lok Sabha
Union Minister Anurag Thakur has confirmed the government has not printed any Rs 2000 note in the last two years. Reportedly, Thakur gave the reply to a question asked by MDMK MP A Ganeshamurthi over less circulation of Rs 2000 notes. Besides, citing demand-based currency printing, Thakur said the decision of printing different denominations lies with RBI and the Centre.
