Delhi Registers 23 Dengue Cases In June, 134 Overall

Municipal Corporation of Delhi statistics issued on June 27 indicates that 134 dengue cases have been registered in Delhi this year. Delhi reported 23 dengue cases in January, 16 in February, 22 in March, 20 in April, and 30 in May, with 23 reported till June 25. According to a report by Anti Malaria Operations (HQ), no deaths from the disease have been documented this year as of June 25.

Delhi Registered Over 130 Dengue Cases Till June 25, Says Civic Body

In 2022, the national capital reported 130 dengue cases have been reported, confirmed the Delhi Civic Body, on June 27.  In detail, Delhi recorded 23 dengue cases in January, 16 in February, 22 in March, 20 in April and 30 in May and 23 cases in June. Compared to last year, the capital city registered three times more in 2022. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi urged people to be careful.

COVID Curbs Helped Lessen Dengue Spread In 2020: Study

Nearly 750,000 fewer cases of dengue were reported globally in 2020 amid the Coronavirus pandemic. In addition, the study was carried out in 23 countries including Latin America and Southeast Asia where dengue is an endemic. ''They show a significant drop in dengue cases when people could not freely leave their homes to visit other places, such as schools,'' stated a researcher.

Delhi Records Highest Number Of Dengue Cases In 6 Years: Report

Delhi reported the highest number of Dengue cases crossing 5,270 in the national capital. According to reports, the cases have been recorded highest since the year 2015. Moreover, 2,570 fresh cases of the vector-borne disease were logged in the city in the last week, showed reports. In the previous year, the city reported only 1,072 cases of dengue. However, no fatalities have been recorded in the city yet.

Meerut Records 10 New Dengue Cases; Active Cases At 246

80 Out Of 160 Samples Taken Come Out Positive For Dengue: Haridwar

According to the samples taken from the Gadharona Village of Roorkee, it has been found that the village has been a major hotspot for dengue in the Haridwar District. Residents claimed that around 200 cases have been detected. Manmohan Singh Diagnosed With Dengue, Gradually Improving, Says Delhi AIIMS

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has been diagnosed with dengue but his health condition is gradually improving, said Delhi AIIMS on October 16. He was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on October 13 after he complained of weakness following a fever. The former PM is under the care of a team of cardiologists at a private ward in the cardio-neuro centre of the hospital.

Meerut Reports 33 Fresh Dengue Cases: Uttar Pradesh

Chief Medical Officer Akhilesh Mohan informed about the increasing dengue cases in the state on September 28. Meerut has reported 158 active dengue cases, 70 patients are hospitalized, 88 patients are undergoing treatment at home, and 249 patients have recovered till now. Health Department is conducting a door-to-door survey to aware people and cooperate with the measures taken by the government.
