Mumbai Local Derails While Entering Kharkopar Station, Zero Casualties Reported
In Mumbai, three coaches of the Belapur to Kharkopar local train derailed while entering Kharkopar station. The incident occurred around 8:46 am on February 28, confirmed Railway Police. Central Railway's chief public relations officer Shivaji Sutar said, Due to the derailment, trains on Belapur - Kharkopar - Nerul line are not running. Duranto Express Derails In Odisha's Jajpur; Wheels Jump Off Track
In Odisha's Jajpur District, two wheels of the Duranto Express got off tracks at Hariudaspur Railway Station at 11:14 AM on December 3, said the East Coast Railway. No passenger suffered injuries due to the incident, reported PTI. Reportedly, the restoration work has been started with immediate effect so the movement of train services do not get disturbed.

Train Derails Due To Blast On Tracks In Jharkhand's Dhanbad Division
Owing to a blast in Jharkhand's Dhanbad division, a section of a railway track between Garwa Road and Barkana section got damaged on the early morning of November 20. ''Explosion by a miscreant led to the derailment of diesel loco by 2 wheels,'' said Rajesh Kumar, CPRO, ECR. No reports of injury or casualty are reported so far. The explosion reportedly was planted by a member of Naxal groups.

Puri-Surat Express Derails After Hitting Elephant In Odisha; Jumbo Dies
In a tragic incident, an adult elephant was ran over by Puri-Surat Superfast Express on December 21 in Odisha's Sambalpur district. After the impact, engine of the train got derailed as well. However, no casualties were reported. While the Railway sent an emergency team to the accident site, forest officials guided the elephant herd, which surrounded engine and dead jumbo for hours, towards forest.
