Mumbai To Get India's Largest London Eye Like Tunnel
Mumbai is set to have a third tunnel, which is the longest road tunnel and the country's first giant observation wheel - similar to the London Eye. Besides this, Mumbai Government also granted other infrastructure projects. CM Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis approved the proposal of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority. The tunnel will be 3.8 km long four-lane road.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on August 23 stated while the prisoners in the Bilkis Bano case were released following a Supreme Court judgment, it is improper if a person convicted of a crime is "felicitated." Farmer Tries To Immolate Himself Outside Vidhan Sabha: Maharashtra
In a shocking incident, a man claiming to be a farmer from Osmanabad attempted self-immolation outside Maharashtra Assembly on August 23. Identified as Subhash Bhanudas Deshmukh, the man has been admitted to the nearest hospital by the police and has suffered 20% burn injuries. The police registered a case and launched an investigation, to know the reason behind the extreme step taken by the self-claimed farmer.

Devendra Fadnavis Officially Launches BJP Campaign For BMC Elections
Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, officially launched the BJP Campaign for the upcoming civic polls, on August 20. Taking a dig at the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena, Devendra said, "the BJP, which won a record 82 seats, could have won the mayoral election also.
