Seven Go Missing After Boat Capsizes In Assam’s Dhubri

At least seven persons have gone missing in the Brahmaputra river, after a boat they were on capsized in Assam’s Dhubri district. The boat was reportedly carrying a team of experts, who were on their way to inspect erosion near an under-construction bridge. The wooden boat reportedly hit something, due to which it capsized. A search and rescue operation is underway. Further details are awaited.

Bengal Violence Forces 300-400 BJP Workers To Enter Assam, Says Minister

Assam minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, through Twitter on May 4, stated that post-poll violence in West Bengal has forced about 300-400 Bengal BJP workers and their families to enter his state. Assuring of providing food and shelter to the workers, Sarma urged Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee to "stop this ugly dance of dirty democracy". He also called out the "LIBERALS", saying that "Didi's Dadas have unleashed a reign of terror".
