Congress Leader Digvijaya Singh Booked Under IPC Section

Congress Veteran and former Madhya Pradesh CM Digvijaya have been booked for atrocities case. The police registered the case for allegedly sharing a controversial post on former Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief MS Golwalkar on social media.  local lawyer and RSS worker Rajesh Joshi filed the FIR. Digvijaya Singh is booked under several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC.)

Digvijaya Singh To Run For Congress President, To File Nomination

Congress leader Digvijaya Singh has joined the race for Congress president, and will contest in the party elections. He was seen collecting the nomination form from the office. Apart from Singh, Shashi Tharoor has also declared his candidature for the post. The nominations will be open till September 30, and the election will reportedly take place on October 17.

Khargone Violence: Digvijaya Singh Slams BJP-led MP Govt

Former MP CM Digvijaya Singh came down heavily on the BJP-led state government in Madhya Pradesh. He said that the communal violence in the state is a failure on part of the administration. Digvijaya also claimed that the BJP government is weaponising communal conflicts, adding that they divide Hindus and Muslims for their own political gain. He also called for an investigation into the Khargone incident, to ascertain the facts.

Digvijaya Singh Slams Modi Govt; Says, Farmers' Income Not Doubled As Promised

Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh took a dig at the Modi government ahead of UP Assembly polls and first phase of Manipur Assembly polls on February 27 and 28, respectively. He said that the BJP government failed to fulfill the promise of doubling farmers' income. He also mentioned the increased prices of seeds, raw materials for constructing houses, etc. "Modi ji the year 2022 has come," Singh tweeted in Hindi.

Digvijay Singh Calls Scindia 'Betrayer' For Quitting Congress

A word of war erupted between Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Senior Congress Leader Digvijay Singh when Congress leader termed Scindia as 'betrayer' for quitting the Congress party and joining Bharatiya Janata Party. While addressing a public meeting he said, "Scindia left the party. He betrayed Congress." In March 2020, Scindia left congress with 20 MLAs that led to the fall of Kamal Nath- led congress government.

NCW Serves Notice To Digvijaya Singh, Others For Revealing Hathras Victim's Identity

Former Madhya Pradesh CM, Digvijaya Singh, actress Swara Bhaskar, and BJP IT Cell chief, Amit Malviya have been served notices by the National Commission for Women (NCW) for allegedly revealing the identity of Hathras victim on social media. Under the IPC, a person can be imprisoned for upto 2 years for revealing victim’s identity. The NCW, in the notice has sought an explanation and asked to take down the posts immediately.

Congress Leadership Crisis: Vivek Tankha Extends Support to Gandhi Family

The continuous central leadership crisis in the Congress party has led to a division. Rajya Sabha MP Vivek Tankha, who was also one of the signatories of the letter sent to Sonia Gandhi, expressed his concern for the ongoing crisis.
