Saira Banu Marks Her Instagram Debut On Dilip Kumar's 2nd Death Anniversary

Legendary actress Saira Banu made her Instagram debut on July 7, the 2nd death anniversary of late actor Dilip Kumar.  Sharing a few pictures, Saira Banu called Kumar her "Kohinoor".  In her first Instagram post, Banu said, "This is the day, ‘7th of July’ at ‘7 am’ when time stood still and my loved one slid into a deep slumber" said Saira. The couple were married for over 55 years.

The 98-year-old veteran actor Dilip Kumar passed away in Mumbai's Khar Hinduja Hospital on July 7. Kumar had repeatedly been facing breathing issues since June 6 and was admitted to the hospital thrice in June. He was survived by his actress-wife Saira Banu. Sharing the news of his demise on Kumar's Twitter handle, his family friend Faisal Farooqui wrote, ''We're from God and to Him, we return."

Saira Banu Pays Visit To Dilip Kumar At Hospital, Assures Normalcy

The veteran actor Dilip Kumar’s wife Saira Banu paid him a visit at Bandra's Hinduja Hospital, where he is admitted. The 98-year-old actor complained of breathlessness after which he was admitted to the hospital on June 29. After the visit, Saira Banu informed the media that, “Dilip Kumar Sahab's health is still stable.” Besides, this is the second time he has been admitted to a hospital within the month.

Dilip Kumar Hospitalised Over Complaints of Breathlessness

A month after veteran actor Dilip Kumar was discharged from the hospital over complaints of breathlessness, he has been admitted to Mumbai's Hinduja Hospital again on June 29 owing to the same reason. He is currently been monitored in the ICU and is said to be in a stable condition. "The doctors will see him on June 30 and take a call on his line of treatment," a source said.

Confirming the news of Twitter, Kumar's family friend Faisal Farooqui stated, "With your love and affection, and your prayers, Dilip Saab is going home from the hospital." Earlier, the 98-year-old actor was admitted to the hospital on June 6 after he had complained of breathlessness.

Pak To Convert Raj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar's Ancestral Homes Into Museums

The ancestral homes of legendary Bollywood actors, Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor, in Pakistan will now be converted into museums. Reportedly, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government has announced to purchase Raj Kapoor's house in Rs 1.50 crore, while for Dilip Kumar's house, it would spent Rs 80 lakh. The homes have already been declared as national heritage sites by the Pakistan government.
