Mario Rusk has announced its collaboration with Indian actor and singer, Diljit Dosanjh. He is now the brand ambassador for Mario Rusk. Mario’s decision to rope in Diljit Dosanjh was driven by his wide appeal and his ability to connect with diverse audiences across generations and regions. His popularity cuts across cultural boundaries, making him a relatable and beloved figure for people from all walks of life.

Diljit Dosanjh scripted history and became the first Punjabi singer to perform at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2023 in California. However, something that he said during his second performance sparked controversy, following which he clarified it on social media, and said, "This girl is carrying the flag of my country, this is for my country and everyone. Music belongs to all, don't use it to spread hate."

Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas has extended her support to the ongoing farmers' protest by quoting singer Diljit Dosanjh's tweet on the issue. Calling the farmers "food soldiers", the actor urged the Centre to resolve the issue "sooner than later". She tweeted, "Their [farmers'] fears need to be allayed. Their hopes need to be met." Priyanka's comments have came amid the ongoing spat between Diljit and actor Kangana Ranaut. 

Zee Studios has released the trailer of their upcoming film, 'Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari'. The film stars Manoj Bajpayee, Diljit Dosanjh and Fatima Sana Shaikh in the lead roles. Reportedly, the comedy film, set in the 90s era, visualises the story of Suraj Dhillon who is into dairy business and is searching for a girl to get married. Directed by Abhishek Sharma, the movie will be released on Diwali 2020.
