Suspected Monkeypox Case Discovered In Kerala; Sample Sent For Diagnosis
Kerala's health minister, Veena George, said on July 14 that a person who had returned from overseas had been brought to a hospital after exhibiting signs of monkeypox. The National Institute of Virology has received his samples for examination. Monkeypox is a viral zoonotic disease with symptoms like smallpox but less severe clinically. This is the first case in India to exhibit these symptoms.

North Korea Announces Emergence Of New Contagious Illness In Midst Of COVID-19 Pandemic
North Korea declared the emergence of another contagious illness, in addition to the prevailing COVID-19 outbreak, on June 16. KCNA did not comment on the nature of the epidemic or how many individuals had been affected. The new epidemic's severity is unknown. UP Reports Cases of Scrub Typhus Disease; Over 2 Dozen Infected
Scrub Typhus, a new bacterial disease caused by 'Orientia Tsutsugamushi' has been reported in various districts of Uttar Pradesh. However, the infection has been spread to over two dozen people and it spread only after being bitten by infected chiggers (berry bugs). Fever, headache, body aches, rashes, and muscle pain are some of the common symptoms. Moreover, there are no vaccines available to cure this disease.

Bengaluru researchers have suggested butterfly tea plant as an aid for Alzheimer. Caused due to disruption in brain, the disease affects behaviour and memory of patient. Neha V Kalmankar, a Phd student at the National Centre for Biological Sciences highlighted the usage of plants to cure various diseases and the significance to find the medical purpose of plants.
