J&K: First DDC Elections to be Held after Abrogation of Article 370
Jammu & Kashmir will be conducting its first District Development Council (DDC) elections from November 28, since the scrapping off of Article 370 in August 2019. The eight-phased election will continue till December 9 with a turnout expectancy of seven lakh voters in 2,146 polling booths across Kashmir and Jammu division. The contest among People's Alliance, the BJP and Altaf Bukhari's Apni Party will be held using ballot papers.
