Former Ghaziabad's District Magistrate Nidhi Kesarwani has been suspended by UP CM Yogi Adityanath, on May 4. The suspension has come after Kesarwani was alleged in a land acquisition case for Delhi-Meerut Expressway and Eastern Peripheral Expressway. CM Adityanath then stated that "a section officer and a review officer of the appointment department will also suspended for delay in the taking up the matter".

Under the orders of UT district magistrate, Chandigarh administration has imposed Section 144 of CrPC in the area, due to the ongoing demolition drive. The order has come after the apprehension that the people in the area may cause obstruction to the demolition drive. According to the order, Section 144 has been imposed in "Colony 4, Industrial Area, Phase 1, Chandigarh and within 500 meters from it periphery".
The Dehradun administration announced that it would impose a fine of Rs 5,000 on burning plastic or garbage in the open areas, in order to improve the air quality. It has also been ordered by the District Magistrate to the Municipal Corporations and concerned authorities to make challan against those who don't follow the rules. "I've directed for strict action," R Rajesh Kumar, District Magistrate, told to ANI.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has urged the heads of insurance companies to quickly settle the pending claims under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana. Actor Sonu Sood has given clarification to Odisha’s Ganjam District Magistrate for alleging him of taking undue credits by claiming a hospital bed is arranged for COVID-19 patient. While the DM claimed that bed was not arranged, Sonu disclosed his Whatsapp chat screenshots on Twitter and asked the DM to double-check on arranging an oxygen bed at Ganjam city hospital, Berhampur. Later, the beneficiary confirmed of receiving a bed.

A video of Hathras District Magistrate has gone viral, wherein he can be seen telling the rape victim's father that it was up to the latter to change his statements or not. The conversation was in Hindi, and the officer's tone was intimidating. The officer also said, "half of the media people have already left. Others will leave by tomorrow. Only we will stand with you."
