108-year-old Environmentalist 'Saalumarada' Thimmakka Awarded Doctorate
Central University of Karnataka has awarded an honorary doctorate degree to 108-year-old 'Saalumarada' Thimmakka. The Karnataka-based environmentalist was honoured at her home by the university officials. University of Mysore To Present Sudha Murthy With Honorary Doctorate
Sudha Murthy, the Chairperson of Infosys Foundation and a philanthropist is set to receive a honorary doctorate from the University of Mysore (UoM). UoM Vice Chancellor, while announcing the news said that they will be presenting only one honorary doctorate this year, which will be presented by the Governor Vajubhai Vala on October 19. Reportedly, PM Modi will also address the convocation virtually.

Bangalore University Convocation Goes Online; Cancels Honorary Doctorate
Bangalore University (BU) has reportedly decided to hold its 55th annual convocation virtually. The convocation, which was supposed to be held in April, was postponed owing to the pandemic. The university has also decided not to award honorary doctorate this year.
