Maharashtra Resident Doctors Calls Indefinite Strike Against Govt
To force the Maharashtra government to fulfill their demand, the Maharashtra State Association of Resident Doctors (MARD) started an indefinite strike in the state on October 1. MP: About 3000 Junior Doctors Demanding Hike In Stipend Resign
Nearly 3,000 junior doctors in Madhya Pradesh on June 3 resigned from their posts after the high court termed their four-day strike "illegal". Earlier, the doctors working in six different government medical colleges have demanded a hike in the stipend and free COVID-19 treatment for them and their families. Although the government had assured a hike, it has not been delivered yet, said MP Junior Doctors Association president.

Doctors Call For Nationwide Protest Over Ramdev's Anti-Allopathy Remarks
The Federation of Resident Doctors' Association has called for a nationwide protest on June 1 against the anti-allopathy remarks made by Baba Ramdev. The medicos' body said that they would observe the date as "Black Day" and has also asked Ramdev to issue an "unconditional open public apology". Earlier, the yoga guru had sparked a row by stating that "lakhs have died from taking allopathic medicines for Covid-19".

IMA Members Protest Against Centre's Decision On Ayurveda Surgeons

NDMC Pays Salaries To Hindu Rao Hospital Staff; Doctors Withdraw Strike
The North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) on October 28 paid the doctors and health-workers of the Hindu Rao hospital, their long-due salaries. The staff, who were protesting for about a month, had resorted to an indefinite hunger strike from October 23 that was taken back after the salaries were paid. NDMC Mayor Jai Prakash said he had responded to the hospital-staff and urged everyone to work responsibly "amid COVID-19 crisis".

Delhi: Hindu Rao Hospital Doctors Warn Of Severe Strike Over Pending Salaries
Protesting for over a week, the doctors from Hindu Rao hospital, Delhi, have demanded that their salaries be disbursed within a week or they would resort to severe strikes. The President of Resident Doctors' Association alleged that they had not received salaries from 106 days, and demanded that their salaries be regularised. Kerala: 870 COVID Doctors Resign Due to Salary Decrement
