Ramlila Celebration In Ayodhya To Be Held Virtually Amid COVID-19

Given the concern of the third wave of COVID-19, the Ramlila Committee in Ayodhya on September 11 announced that this year Ramlila will be organized virtually to let the people enjoy it at their respective homes. Doordarshan will virtually telecast the program between October 6-15. Meanwhile, the committee's President, Subhash Malik said, ''We've sent an invitation to PM Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind and UP CM Yogi Adityanath.''

Bihar, UNICEF Jointly Launch Study Program For Class 9-12 On Doordarshan

To ensure uninterrupted education during the pandemic, the Bihar government has launched a virtual learning program for students of classes 9-12 on Doordarshan. Prasar Bharati Bars Employees From Talking To Media Without Permission

Prasar Bharti has barred all the employees of All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan (DD) from interacting with media without prior permission from "the competent authority". Prasar Bharti had issued two such orders earlier also - first in November 2019 and second in February this year. Superhero Trilogy To Be Made On Shaktimaan, Says Mukesh Khanna

Actor Mukesh Khanna on October 2 announced that a three-movie franchise will be made, based on the popular TV show Shaktimaan. The 62-year-old actor portrayed the lead role in 'Shaktimaan', which was telecasted on Doordarshan from 1997 to 2005. The actor shared on Instagram that the movie will be bigger than Hrithik Roshan's 'Krrish' and Shah Rukh Khan's 'Ra-One'.
