IPL: BCCI Rejects Dream11's 2021 and 2022 Bid

BCCI on August 18 officially confirmed that Dream11 acquired the IPL title sponsorship for 2020. Dream11 won the rights for Rs 222 crore, bidding higher than Tata, Byju's and Unacademy. Dream11 proposed a three-year deal for IPL 2021 and IPL 2022. BCCI has rejected the offer due to a "low" bid. The IPL 2020 is set to start from September 19 and played till November 10, in UAE.

IPL 2020: Dream 11 Wins Title Sponsorship Following Vivo's Exit

Brijesh Patel, Chairman of the governing council of Indian Premier League (IPL), confirmed that the fantasy gaming platform Dream11 has bagged the title sponsorship at Rs 222 crore. Following the exit of Vivo, this year the "cash rich league" of India will be sponsored by Dream 11. Reportedly, Dream11 too has a Chinese connection with Chinese internet giant Tencent Holdings Ltd as one of its financial backers.

IPL 2020: Edu-tech Company Unacademy to Bid for Title Sponsorship against Patanjali

BCCI has officially confirmed, Edu-tech company Unacademy has now shown interest in the rights of IPL's title sponsorship. Post the exit of Vivo, various Indian brands are in line for backing the IPL title sponsorship. Patanjali and Unacademy will now be competitors, and the sponsorship will go to the highest bidder. The other companies in the pipeline are Jio, Dream11 and Paytm.
