Fake Currency & Drug Racket Busted In Manipur’s Imphal

In Manipur’s Imphal, a fake currency racket has been busted by Imphal East police, which was functioning at Urup Kangthak and Keirao villages. From the raid, the police recovered 3,790 suspected World is Yours (WY) drugs, 60 grams of heroin, 26 bundles, 89 numbers of 500 fake currency notes and 101 numbers of 500 fake currency uncut sheets. Austrian Govt Arrests 81 In A Global Sting Against Organised Crime

81 out of 800 people were arrested in Austria in a global sting against organised crime belonging from various groups. The arrested are suspects of multiple crimes including drug trafficking and murder. Reportedly the joint operation by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation, Australian and European police caught people from Australia, Asia, Europe, South America and the Middle East involved in the narcotics trade.

International drug racket mastermind Kishan Singh was extradited from the UK to India on March 21. UP Special Task Force Arrests Four Drug Smugglers With Ganja Worth Rs 1 Crore

Busting a drug racket in Uttar Pradesh' Sonbhadra district, the state's Special Task Force on November 7 arrested a gang of four drug smugglers. The officials have seized about 800 kg of ganja worth Rs 1 crore, a truck, a car, 2 driving licenses, 2 Aadhar cards, a PAN card along with Rs 3,500 in cash. Reportedly, 300 sacks of salt, which were used to conceal the contraband, were also seized.

Delhi Police Arrest Two People With 275 Kgs Of Marijuana

Delhi Police have arrested two people near Jhilmil Industrial Area with 275 kgs of marijuana worth Rs 12 lakh. The police busted the drug racket by seizing a truck loaded with marijuana. Reportedly, the marijuana was kept in a secret chamber that was built in the truck, particularly for hiding it. Police informed that the accused have confessed that they committed the crime on the orders of the truck's owner.

WhatsApp Clarifies On Message Leak In Bollywood Drug Probe 

WhatsApp has clarified that its messages are end-to-end encrypted after the news surfaced regarding leak of WhatsApp messages in the enquiry into drug racket. It reiterated that the messages are accessible only by those involved. WhatsApp said that it follows the guidelines provided by the OS manufacturers for on-device storage and it is the users' responsibility to protect the content stored on phone.

CCB Enquiry Reveals Exclusive Apartments Reserved for Drug parties: Bangalore

Central Crime Branch said, the accused in the drug racket case have revealed that few apartments in Bangalore were exclusively being used to run drug parties and after-parties. A police officer said, "We will take the accused to these flats for further investigation." Reportedly, these parties were restricted to few selected people and the information regarding the venue were kept hidden till the last minute, to evade police.
