In J&K's Baramulla, the Indian army organized a drugs awareness camp in which a free lecture was organized to address the youth on March 14. In Assam's Nagaon four drug peddlers and five gamblers were arrested by Nagaon police with 34 vials of heroin, 300 sample tablets, and three syringes on February 10. During the search operation, Nagaon police arrested drug peddlers and gamblers in various PS areas of Nagaon district. "Nagaon Police recovered 34 vails of heroin, 300 sample tablets, and three syringes," tweeted Nagaon Police. Moreover, further details are awaited. 

In Maharashtra's Palghar district, police arrested a man, and retrieved Ganja worth Rs 25,000. Crime detection unit of Mira Bhayandar-Vasai Vihar Police Commissionerate nabbed the accused, identified as Rizwan Abdul Khan (24). Furthermore, a case was registered under the NDPS Act at the Pelhar police station against the accused. The MBVV  police said, "Over 2.4 Kg ganja was recovered from him".

NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede on October 25 retaliated in a press note after the Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik shared Wankhede's personnel documents commending him as a fraud. The officer, who was involved in the raid on the cruise ship, stated, "Publishing of my personal documents on Twitter is a defamatory and unnecessary invasion to my family". ''My father is a Hindu...My mother was a Muslim,'' added Wankhede.

During the questioning by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), actor Ananya Panday on October 21 termed her chat with Aryan Khan about ganja a ''joke''. Furthermore, She said it was ''about cigarettes not weed''. Reportedly, NCB recovered chat messages in Aryan's phone, in which he asked Ananya if she could ''arrange the weed''.
