Byju's Ceases SRK's Ads Over Son Aryan Khan's Arrest: Drug Case

Byju's has reportedly stopped ads featuring Khan in the wake of his son Aryan Khan's arrest in a drug case in Mumbai. However, there is no official announcement but a person associated with the matter said, ''The company which is in the area of education wouldn't like to seen in promotions with him given the controversy.'' Notably, SRK is a brand ambassador of the company since 2017.

Actor Michael K Williams Found Dead; Police Suspects Drug Overdose 

American Actor, Michael K Williams was found dead in his New York Apartment on September 6. The 54-year-old actor's death was confirmed by one of his family members, said police. However, the cause of the death has not been revealed, but a drug overdose possibility is being speculated. The actor was best known for his films like, "The Wire," "12 Years a Slave," and "The Road."

In the latest development in the 2017 Tollywood Drug Scam, Babhubali actor Rana Daggubati has appeared before the ED in Hyderabad on September 8. Earlier, The agency had also summoned actors Rakul Preet and Ravi Teja but the actors weren't named in the charge-sheet of the excise SIT in 2017 due to lack of evidence. Reportedly, a drug racket was busted in 2017 to curb drug trafficking in Hyderabad.

Mumbai's famous Muchhad Paanwala shop's co-owner Ramkumar Tiwari was arrested on January 11 Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for allegedly selling marijuana in his shop. Reportedly, the NCB had found around 500 grams of marijuana from the shop. The recovered marijuana is known as OG Kush, which is a strain of cannabis indica. The shop is frequently visited by many celebrities.
