Delhi University Admissions 2021; Higher Cutoffs Expected

Miranda House principal Dr Bijaylaxmi Nanda in a conversation with the media stated that "We won't have 100 per cent cut-offs. The cut-offs will be slightly calibrated than last time. The cut-offs will be close to 100 but we will be realistic with them." Besides, most colleges are expecting a higher cutoff than ever as the no of students scoring 95%+ rose drastically this year. The First cut off is expected to be released on October 1.

Delhi University To Kickstart Admission Process; Expected Cut-off Over 100%

Delhi University has released registration forms for UnderGraduate admissions, and the first cut-off is to be out on October 1. Thereafter the admission process will start on October 4. About four lakh students have registered, and the number of students scoring over 95% in CBSE boards alone rose from 35,000 in 2020 to 70,000 in 2021. This can lead to an increase in the already skyrocketing cut-offs.

Central Govt Aims To Conduct CET For University Admissions 

Under the new National Education Policy, Ministry of Education has decided to conduct common entrance test such as JEE, and NEET for students to get admitted in various universities. However, the government is planning to conduct the test in July-August, and the test aims to provide admission in undergraduate for non-technical courses. Reportedly, the entrance test was delayed due to surge in COVID cases.

With 18% Of Seats Vacant, DU To Announce Third Cut-off List on October 24

With 12,353 seats vacant in undergraduate courses, Delhi University (DU) may announce a third cut-off list on October 24. Earlier out of 70,000 UG seats in DU, more than 82% were filled after the second cut off list offered admissions to 22,147 students. While some courses were totally closed others saw a major decline in the required cut-off. Reportedly, due to Covid-19 spread the admission process is being conducted online.

DU Officials Suggest Cut Off for 2020 Will Go Higher

DU officials said that the 2020 Cut off maybe higher as lot of students scored above 95% in CBSE Intermediate exams. Reportedly, around 2,85,128 applications have came from CBSE students.
