Delivery Startup Dunzo Raises $240 Mn Funding; Reliance Retail Tops
Dunzo, a Bengaluru-based hyperlocal delivery startup, said that it raised $240 million in the latest round of funding. Reportedly, Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Retail topped among the investors by acquiring a 25.8% stake in the startup. Reportedly, the funding will help it to ramp its game against competitors. ''Dunzo is planning an initial public offering (IPO) in the next three years,'' informed Kabir Biswas, co-founder, and CEO of Dunzo.

ICMR, Telangana Govt Plans To Deliver Vaccine Through Drones
In order to deliver the vaccine and medicine to inaccessible and far flung areas due to rough terrain, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and Telangana govt are planning to use drones. The ICMR have already approached drone companies with bids for the same. A study has been initiated by TS govt to understand the feasibility of delivering medicines and other medical supplies.

Centre Nods To Drone Flight Operations Of Swiggy, Spicejet, 18 Others
The Aviation Ministry has approved a conditional exemption for drone flight operations of 20 entities including SpiceJet, Dunzo Air Consortium and Swiggy. The one-year exemption is granted under the Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Rules, 2021, and the drones have been allowed to operate beyond the visual line of sight (BVLOS).
