'BEST' Will Only Induct Electric Buses In Its Fleet Says Aaditya Thackeray
Maharashtra environment minister Aaditya Thackeray said we've planned to induct only electric buses in the fleet of Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) to fight built ''eco-friendly Mumbai metropolis'' at the BMC headquarters on October 4. Besides, he also said the BEST would run the double-decker buses only on electrical energy or hydrogen fuel cell. The entire fleet of the BEST would be turned into electric buses by 2028.

26 New Electric Buses To Be Deployed in Mumbai; BEST Owns Six
Maharashtra's Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) have inaugurated 26 new AC electric buses on November 26. The noiseless and zero polluting e-buses have been dedicated to short routes of Mumbai city. While the six busses are owned by BEST and rest are on lease.
