Another E-Scooters Catches Fire, Alarms Concern In India

In Tamil Nadu's Hosur, an Okinawa e-scooter caught fire when Satish Kumar noticed and jumped on time, saving his life. This is not the only incident,  in the past India reported over a dozen of such cases, killing people. Okinawa, which was blamed even decided to recall 3215 of its scooters to fix the issue. Furthermore, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari also assured to penalize companies with fault.

E-Scooter Batteries Explode Killing 1, Leaving 3 Injured In Vijayawada

An incident of electric vehicle batteries explosion, reported in Andhra Pradesh's Vijayawada district killed Shiva Kumar (30) and left his wife Harathi (30) and two children Bindu (10) and Sasi (6) injured, confirmed police. Furthermore, the incident took place at 3 am, when the batteries the newly bought electric two-wheeler, which were kept on charging, exploded. Bengaluru Start-Up Launches e-Scooter; 240-km In Single Charge

Amidst the hike in fuel prices in India, a Bengaluru-based electric vehicle start-up 'Simple Energy' is set to launch its e-scooter named 'Simple One' on August 15. However, the scooter will be first made available in Bengaluru followed by Chennai, Hyderabad, and other cities. Moreover, the e-bike will cost around Rs 1.10-1.20 lakh, and one can enjoy up to 240-km journey in Eco mode, with 100kph as top speed.

Germany's Tier Mobility Gets $250 Million From SoftBank Group

Germany-based e-vehicle manufacturer Tier Mobility has attracted funds worth $250 million from SoftBank Group's Vision Fund 2. After the investment, the company has been ranked at the second position in e-motor companies, just under its rival Bird.
