Teen Trapped In Earthquake Debris Survived After 96 Hours: Turkey-Syria Quake
In the Turkey-Syria earthquake, a 17-year-old boy, who got trapped under the rubble on February 6, was rescued after almost four days. The struggle of the teen boy identified as Adnan Muhammet Korkut was said to be very painful as he drank his own urine and ate his family’s flowers to survive. The disastrous earthquake which hit Syria-Turkey on February 6, claimed over 25,000 lives and feared thousands trapped.

Earthquake Of 7.4 Magnitudes Hit Turkey, 15 Dead
An earthquake of 7.4 magnitudes hit the regions of Turkey, on February 6. The natural disaster killed five people in the province of Osmaniye and 10 more in Sanliurfa, confirmed local sources. In addition, approximately 34 buildings were collapsed and properties were damaged due to the earthquake in Turkey, which struck at 04:17 am local time (0117 GMT) at a depth of about 17.9 kilometres (11 miles).

Earthquake Of 5.9 Magnitude Jolts Indonesia’s Sumatra
An earthquake of 5.9 magnitude on the Richter scale jolted Indonesia’s Sumatra island during the early hours on October 1. According to the US Geological survey, the quake killed at least one person and injured dozens of others as people rushed out of buildings seeking safety. Reportedly, the quake occurred at around 2:30 am 40kms from the town of Sibolga, and had a depth of 13 kms.

Earthquake Of 5.2 Magnitude Jolts Myanmar
An earthquake of 5.2 magnitude on Richter scale hit Myanmar on September 30, informed National Centre for Seismology (NCS). The quake was reported at around 3:52 am, and had a depth of 140 km. According to the NCS, the quake struck about 162 km Northwest of Myanmar’s Burma. No casualties have been reported from the incident. Further details are awaited.

Earthquake Of Magnitude 4.3 Jolts Afghanistan Region
An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 jolted Afghanistan on September 23, confirmed to the National Centre for Seismology. The earthquake occurred in Hindu Kush Region around 5:30 AM, on September 23 morning, in Afghanistan. This is the second such earthquake happened in the past 20 days. Earlier, on September 5, an earthquake of 5.3 magnitudes on the Richter scale hit Afghanistan, killing six people and leaving as many as nine injured.

An earthquake of 6.9 magnitude on the Richter scale hit southeastern parts of Taiwan on September 18. The quake has caused cracks in buildings and roads in the region. Earthquake Of 7.6 Magnitude Jolts Mexico, Sets Off Alarm
An earthquake of 7.6 magnitude on the Richter scale hit Mexico’s central pacific coast on September 19. The earthquake set off seismic alarm and occurred at around 1:05 pm. Reportedly, the quake was centred 37 kms southeast of Aquila, near the boundary of Colima and Michoacan states, with a depth of 15.1 kms. The quake left some buildings cracked in the town.
